Don’t Drink When You’re Dehydrated – Don’t Get Sick

So it seems that the old saying "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink" doesn't apply to most people. You see, they don't care if the horse drinks! But, in fact, they do care if he drinks too much and they would rather have him drink less.

 

Now, I'm not saying that they aren't concerned, I'm just stating the truth. There is a big difference between making someone drink and making him drink too much. But, they are the two terms used to describe this same concept. The difference is, they're used for different reasons.

 

If you've ever drunk a lot of water, then you've probably heard this one before: Don't drink when you're dehydrated. This isn't as obvious as the old saying, but it's an important point. Drinking too much water can cause dehydration, so if you don't want that, don't drink when you feel thirsty.

 

But, when people don't drink enough water, what happens? Well, if the person drinks too much water, his body goes into shock, which can be fatal. This is why many doctors recommend that you drink at least 8 glasses of water daily. Now, this may seem like a lot, but keep in mind that you need about 1.2 cups of water each day to keep yourself hydrated and stay healthy.

 

And yet, we all drink a lot of soda and other drinks that contain water

 

This is part of the problem. When you drink more water than you need, you can end up having headaches, cramps and other health problems. This is why many doctors encourage people to drink less.

 

And, there's another problem with drinking too much. Your body starts to feel thirsty because it has too much water to use and it has nothing left over. Then you start to drink even more water. So, your body begins to break down your organs. You'll end up feeling sicker because of the toxins that build up in your body and they won't be working properly as well.

 

So, the best way to say it is: You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink it. – at least, not if you don't want him to die of thirst!

It's also important to remember that you can't take your health issues lightly. If you go through a period where you feel better than you did before, then that's great. It's OK to take a step back and see what you can change.

 

So, don't think you have to make drastic changes right away, but remember that your diet plays a major role. So, make sure you keep your diet in order. Take care of your body as much as possible, and you'll be much healthier than you were before.
